Nadur Youngsters claimed the championship in Gozo after defeating SK Victoria Wanderers 3-0 on Sunday. In fact, with three games to go, Nadur lie ten points ahead of second-placed Kercem Ajax.
Claudio Antunes put the Youngsters ahead on 37 minutes and five minutes in the second half, Charles Hili doubled the score. Claudio Antunes sealed the issue with a third goal eight minutes from time.
In another match, Sannat Lions and Xewkija Tigers shared the spoils in an entertaining 4-4 draw. A precious point for Sannat who now join Xaghra United on the twelve-point mark.
Thiago dos Santos put Xewkija ahead after just one minute but Sunday Baala levelled matters on the 10th. A minute later, Dene Shield made it 2-1 for Xewkija but five minutes in the second half, Baala restored equilibrium as he converted a penalty.
dos Santos put the Tigers 3-2 ahead on 52 minutes and three minutes later, Dene Shields increased the lead further. However goals by Sunday Baala on the 78th and Daniel Borg on the 88th enabled Sannat to earn a point from the game.
Meanwhile on Saturday, Munxar Falcons kept the pace with leaders Oratory Youths as they defeated Qala Saints 4-1.
Oliver Curmi put Munxar ahead on the 18th minute but Nathan Portelli levelled matters on the 55th. However another two goals by Curmi on 79 and 81 minutes and a goal by Joseph Grima on the 90th handed the Falcons the three points.
Ghajnsielem, on the other hand, defeated Gharb Rangers 6-1.
Stefan Azzopardi and Charlon Grima gave the Blacks a two goal lead by the end of the first half but Orlando Atzori pulled one back for Gharb. However goals by Kenny Hili, Damon Hili, Joseph Attard and Robert Grima gave Ghajnsielem a comfortable win.
