Oratory Youths were declared champions of the GFA Second Division after an incredible 14-0 win over Gharb Rangers on Saturday.
A brace by Shaun Attard put Oratory two goals ahead within the first nine minutes thanks to goals on the 4th and 9th. Frank Attard scored twice on 12 and 19 minutes to make it 4-0. Francesco Cini scored the fifth goal on the 31st before Frank Attard and Shaun Attard scored again on 34 and 39 minutes to increase the lead further. Christian Cardona made it 8-0 just before half-time.
A brace by Alex Sacco on 53 and 55 minutes put the Youths ten goals ahead before Shaun Attard scored another two goals on 58 and 73 minutes. Jurgen Attard scored the thirteenth goal on the 83rd before Marvin Grech sealed the issue with the fourteenth one minute from time.
Meanwhile Munxar Falcons will also be playing in the First Division next season after a dramatic 4-3 win over Ghajnsielem.
Joseph Grima put Munxar ahead on the 8th minute but Kenny Hili levelled matters on the 25th. Joseph Grima had a penalty saved by the Ghajnsielem goalkeeper and the Blacks hit back with goals by Charlon Tabone on the 34th and Kenny Hili on the 39th to go 3-1 ahead.
Eight minutes in the second half, Daniel Pace reduced the gap for Munxar and seven minutes later, the same player equalised. Ghajnsielem had Ryan Grima sent off and the Falcons took full advantage to notch the winner one minute from time through Michael Pace.
Meanwhile in the First Division, SK Victoria Wanderers were held in a 2-2 draw by Xaghra United.
Eric Nwankwo put SK ahead four minutes in the second half thanks to a penalty and Bernard Ocholeche doubled the score on the 55th. John Camilleri pulled one back on 66 minutes and Jason Portelli converted a penalty to equalise for Xaghra.
Champions Nadur Youngsters registered a 6-2 win over Sannat Lions.
Charles Hili put Nadur ahead on the 18th. Claudio Antunes doubled the score on the 37th and two minutes later, an own goal by Precious Monye put the champions 3-0 ahead. Two minutes from half-time, Brandon Said scored the fourth goal.
A brace by Sunday Baala on 59 and 65 minutes reduced the gap for Sannat but Claudio Antunes scored again on 78 and 86 minutes for a final 6-2 score.
In another match, Kercem Ajax defeated Xewkija Tigers 4-3.
Thiago dos Santos put Xewkija ahead on the 12th minute. Stoyko Sakaliev levelled matters on the 18th but Dene Shields restored the lead for the Tigers on 25 minutes when he converted a penalty. However Sakaliev equalised three minutes later.
Sabri Rais put Kercem ahead on 62 minutes and six minutes later, Malcolm Vella made it 4-2. Deep into stoppage time, Rodney Buttigieg scored a third goal for Xewkija.
