The Malta Under-21 team will be playing an away match against Poland in the first game from the UEFA European Under–21 Championship 2013/2015 qualifying Group 7 next week. The match will be played at the Cracovia Stadium on Thursday 6th June, kick off at 20:45.
The team, under the charge of Ray Farrugia, who is assisted by Ronald Vella, will be traveling to Poland via Frankfurt on the 4th June. This match will be a stiff commitment for our lads who are hoping for good showing backed by a positive result even if it is away from home.
Farrugia will not be able to make use of Harry Davis since the player did not acquire the necessary Maltese citizenship to be eligible for the match.
The list of players includes Louis John Cutajar of Norwich United who has already had a try-out against Vigor Mellis, and Jayke Cuschieri who was included in the group when the team travelled to Catania recently.
The provisional squad is made up of:
goalkeepers Jurgen Borg (Zejtun), Matthew Calleja Cremona (Pembroke), Yenz Cini (Valletta);
defenders Sacha Borg (Floriana), Ryan Camenzuli (Birkirkara), Jayke Cuschieri (Brisbane – AUS), Louis John Cutajar (Norwich United), Christian Grech (Pietà), Zach Muscat (Birkirkara), Jurgen Pisani (Pietà), Matthew Tabone (Vittoriosa);
