Under-21 side faces Turkey on Thursday

ray-zazu-farrugiaThe Malta Under-21 national team takes on Turkey in the second match from Group 7 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium in Istanbul, kick-off at 18:00 CET.

The team played its first game in June losing 2-0 to Poland in Krakow, suffering the two goals on the 85th and 90th minutes. Turkey also played one game, losing 3-1 also to Poland.

As part of the Under-21 side’s preparation, the team played a friendly match against Hungary losing 1-0 in Budapest.

The match will be controlled by officials from Belarus – referee Tsynkevich Siarhei, assistant referees Maliutsin Vitali and Ramanau Yauheni and fourth official Shcharbakou Dzianis.

The team will be in action once again on Tuesday against Greece at the Municipal Stadium in Peristeri, kick-off at 17:30 CET.
