Oratory Youths and Nadur Youngsters were the last two teams to reach the second round of the U*BET FA Trophy after eliminating two teams from Division 3 at the Gozo Stadium on Sunday.

In the first match, Oratory Youths defeated Mtarfa 1-0. Gianluca Vella scored the all-important goal on 31 minutes.

On the other hand, Nadur Youngsters defeated Ghaxaq 4-2.

Milos Stojanovic put Nadur ahead on 17 minutes and Josef Buttigieg doubled the score ten minutes later. Franridge Schembri reduced the gap on 65 minutes but Jonathan Soares made it 3-1 on the 80th. Phiram Shakai scored Ghaxaq’s second goal on 86 minutes but three minutes in added time, Jonathan Soares sealed the issue with a fourth goal.

In the second round, Nadur will be facing First Division side Melita while Oratory Youths take on Victoria Hotspurs in a derby.
