Under-21 side hosts Poland

ray-zazu-farrugiaThe Malta Under-21 side plays its fifth game from Group 7 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship, hosting Poland at the National Stadium on Friday, kick-off at 18:00.

Following a fine performance in their first outing despite a 2-0 defeat to Poland in Krakow last June, the team disappointed in the other three matches, losing 4-0 to Turkey in Istanbul and 5-0 to Greece away from home and 0-4 to Greece at Ta’ Qali.

The team is therefore eager to bounce back after these disappointing results and performances.

However it will be no easy task considering the absence of a number of players due to injuries and the fact of Bjorn Kristensen and Christian Grech are ruled out through suspension.
