Sliema Wanderers midfielder Mark Scerri was banned for two matches while another seven players were suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Ryan Camenzuli (Birkirkara), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), Duncan Pisani and Giuseppe Bellucci (Qormi), Ryan Micallef (Rabat), Fernando Lopes Alcantara and Luca Martinelli (Tarxien) were in fact handed a one-match ban.

Mark Scerri is ruled out of Sliema’s next two games against Birkirkara and Naxxar. Camenzuli is also ruled out of Sliema vs Birkirkara. Kristensen will miss the big match against Valletta. Pisani and Bellucci are ruled out of Qormi’s next match against Naxxar while Alcantara and Martinelli miss the next game against Floriana. Rabat will lack Micallef for the next game against Balzan.

Meanwhile in the FA Trophy, Josef Cutajar (San Gwann) was banned for one match while St. Andrews coach Pino Murgia was banned for two matches.
