Eight Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner and will therefore miss the mid-week matches from the BOV Premier League.
The players are Luke Sciberras (Balzan), Tyrone Farrugia (Mosta), Pablo Doffo (Naxxar), Alessandro Rapino (Sliema), Nicky Vella, Miguel Ciantar and Josef Mifsud (Tarxien) and Oscar Guerrero Alvarado (Vittoriosa).
Tyrone Farrugia and Oscar Guerrero are ruled out of Vittoriosa vs Mosta while Alessandro Rapino misses Tuesday’s game against Birkirkara. Tarxien could not count on Vella, Ciantar and Mifsud for the game against Floriana. Luke Sciberras is ruled out of the game against Rabat while Pablo Doffo misses the game against Qormi.
In Division 1, Nikola Tasic (Gzira), Danny Nazari (Hamrun), Jose Jairo Cueto Cortes (Melita), Brian Said (St. Andrews) and Emanuel Sevasta (St George’s) were banned for one match while John Nwoba (Zebbug) was suspended for two matches.
Kurt Pace (Dingli) was handed a two-match ban while Neil Farrugia (Dingli), Joseph Okonkwo (Fgura), Elland Vella (Marsa), Gilbert Camilleri (Mdina), Daniel Saliba (Mellieha), Mark Anthony Borg (Pembroke) Jean Paul Grima and Wiliam Camilleri (Siggiewi) were all banned for one match.
Nikola Slavtchev and Justin Muscat (Luqa) Shawn Peplow (Mtarfa) and Sean Lee Lanzon (Sta. Lucia) were, on the other hand, suspended for one match in Division 3.
