Fgura United are the new leaders of the BOV Second Division after the weekend’s results.

In fact after Pembroke Athleta’s defeat to Mellieha on Friday, Fgura United defeated Gharghur 2-1 on Sunday to move one point ahead of Pembroke. Mqabba beat Mdina Knights 2-1 while San Gwann were held in a 1-1 draw by Marsaskala.

Marsa registered a 4-3 win over Senglea Athletic in a highly entertaining clash, Zabbar St. Patrick beat Siggiewi 2-0 while Kirkop United defeated Dingli Swallows 2-1.

Fgura lead the way with 34 points, followed by Pembroke on 33, Mqabba 31, San Gwann 30, Mellieha 27, Zabbar 25, Gharghur 23, Marsa 22, Senglea 21, Marsaskala 16, Kirkop and Dingli 15, Siggiewi 10 and Mdina 9.
