The Malta women’s national team hosts Serbia in a match from Group 3 of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup European qualifying round at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday, kick-off at 14:00.
This will be the third match in the group for Pierre Brincat’s side after the 2-0 defeat to Israel at the Ramat Gan Stadium and a 0-5 defeat to Denmark at the Centenary Stadium last November.
Serbia, on the other hand, have already played four matches, losing 0-9 to Switzerland, a 1-1 draw with Denmark, a 1-2 defeat to Iceland and a 3-1 defeat to Israel.
Therefore Malta will be aiming to score its first goal and possibly secure its first point in the group although on paper, Serbia are considered a stronger side.
