Pietà Hotspurs move six points clear on top the BOV First Division table following a most impressive 7-0 win over Zejtun Corinthians.
Raphael Alain Kooh Sohna was the hero for Pietà with four goals with Jurgen Pisani, Kyle Cesare and Ricardo Costa scoring the other three goals.
St. Andrews moved fifth after beating Melita 2-1 in the derby – the fourth win in five matches for Danilo Doncic’s side.
Luke Micallef put the Amateurs ahead but Trayo Grozev and Emiliano Lattes turned the score in the Saints’ favour.
Lija Athletic and Gudja shared the spoils in a highly-entertaining eight-goal thriller. Gianluca Calabretta put Lija ahead but Filippo Andrea Scozzese levelled matters. Lija scored twice through Calabretta and Kiril Aleksandrov to go 3-1 ahead but Gudja reduced the gap through Clive Fenech. Ige Abdullahi Adeshina made it 4-2 but Gudja hit back with goals by Matthew Groves and Mauro Brincat to earn a point.
In another match, Birzebbuga St. Peter’s and St. George’s earned a point each in a 1-1 draw. Jurgen Gerada put St. George’s ahead but Ryan Zammit restored equilibrium
