Nadur Youngsters won the GFA Cup after defeating Oratory Youths 3-0 in the final which was held at the Gozo Stadium on Sunday.

David Fenech put the Youngsters ahead seven minutes from the end of the first half and two minutes later, Elton da Silva doubled the score. Anthony Portelli sealed the issue with a third goal one minute from time.

Meanwhile Sannat Lions were the second team to be promoted from the Melita Second Division as the runners-up defeated Munxar Falcons – who had placed second from bottom in the Melita First Division – 2-1 after extra-time in the Relegation/Promotion Play-off.

Joseph Grima put Munxar ahead on 13 minutes but eight minutes from the end of the first half, they had Akande Williams sent off. Fernando de Andrade levelled matters for Sannat on 56 minutes. Twelve minutes later, Sannat also had Fabian Xuereb sent off.

The game went into extra-time and eight minutes in the first half, Fernando de Andrade scored again to enable Sannat to return to the top division. Munxar, on the other hand, are relegated after just one year in Division 1.
