John Buttigieg appointed Floriana FC Nursery Technical Director

buttigiegFormer Malta national coach John Buttigieg has been appointed as Technical Director of the Floriana FC Nursery.

John Buttigieg, who is a former player of Floriana FC and with whom he won the championship and the FA Trophy, will be responsible for the technical direction of the Floriana FC Nursery.

Buttigieg was appointed coach of Birkirkara FC in March 2007 but in July 2009, he was approached by the Malta Football Association to take over as national coach. His contract, together with that of his assistant Carmel Busuttil were terminated in October 2011. Buttigieg and Busuttil were appointed to head the Birkirkara FC Academy.

The Nursery had earlier appointed former Floriana FC and Malta international defender John Holland as Head Coach.

Floriana FC Nursery is currently receiving applications from children born between 1999 and 2009. Those who are interested to join should visit the nursery club in the Independence Arena in Floriana between 17:00 and 19:00 or call on telephone number 21228391 during the same time.
