UEFA has announced further appointments for Maltese match officials.
FIFA Referee Alan Mario Sant will be in charge of the Europa League Second Qualifying Round Second Leg match, NK Široki Brijeg (Bosnia and Herzegovina) vs FK Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic) at the Pecara Stadium, Široki Brijeg on Thursday 24th July. The first match ended in a 2-1 win for the Czech Republic team.
The Malta FA has appointed FIFA Assistant Referee Alan Camilleri and Elite Assistant Referee Roberto Vella and Fourth Official Christopher Lautier. The Maltese match officials will be assessed by Referee Observer Alexey Spirin from Russia, who is also a former UEFA Referee Committee member.
UEFA has also announced UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League appointments for Maltese Referee Observers Adrian D. Casha, Gaetano De Gabriele and Victor Mintoff.
Adrian D. Casha will be the referee observer of FIFA Referee Vlado Glodjovic and his compatriot team from Serbia at the Debreceni VSC (Hungary) vs Cliftonville FC (Northern Ireland) UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round Second Leg match at the Debrecen Stadion in Debrecen on Tuesday 22nd July. The first leg ended in a goalless draw.
On Thursday 24th July, Gaetano De Gabriele will be the referee observer of Bryn David Markham-Jones and his compatriot team from Wales at the Myllosken Pallo–47 (Finland) vs FC Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round Second Leg match at the Saviniemi Football Stadium in Kouvola. The first leg ended in a 3-0 win for the Belarusian team.
Also on Thursday 24th July 2014, Victor Mintoff will be the referee observer of FIFA Referee Jan Valasek and his compatriot team from Slovakia at the KS Flamurtari (Albania) vs FC Petrolul Ploieşti (Romania) UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round Second Leg match at the Flamurtari Stadium in Vlora. The first leg ended in a 2-0 win for the Romanian team.
