Hibernians FC secured the services of Sliema Wanderers and Malta international goalkeeper Henry Bonello. As part of the deal, young Hibs goalkeeper Daniel Balzan joins the Wanderers on loan for one season.

A product of the Blues, Bonello made his Premier League debut for the Blues in season 2006/07. He spent one season on loan with Vittoriosa Stars in Division 1 in season 2009/10 and on his return, he took the number 1 shirt at the club.

On the other hand, twenty-three year old Daniel Balzan had joined Hibernians from Qormi, making his Premier League debut in season 2007/08.
