Referees' exchange with Norway

The Malta FA Refereeing Department announces that an agreement has been reached between Director of Refereeing Adrian D. Casha and his counterpart Rune Pedersen as Head of Refereeing at The Football Association of Norway for a first-ever referees’ exchange with Norway.

Elite Referee Trustin Farrugia Cann, assisted by Elite Assistant Referees Jurgen Spiteri and David Castillo, will be in charge of the Norwegian Division 1 match Bærum vs Ranheim to be played at the Sandvika Stadion in Oslo on Sunday.

Only one point seperates the two teams, as Bærum on 40 points in 6th place, try to win to leapfrog Ranheim in 5th place with 41 points in order to boost their chances of being promoted to the Tippeligaen, Norway’s professional Premier League.

The Maltese match officials will be assessed by experienced referee observers Rune Pedersen and Goggen Holen, who are currently the referees’ coach and assistant referees’ coach respectively at the UEFA Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE) course being followed by Trustin Farrugia Cann and his two assistant referees.

The Football Association of Norway has appointed Henrick Pettersen as 4th Official and Tom Edvartsen as match delegate.
