Hibernians will be aiming for a fourth consecutive win on Sunday as they take on Valletta at the National Stadium, kick-off at 18:00, in this weekend’s big match from the BOV Premier League.
The Paolites defeated Floriana, Qormi and Sliema Wanderers in their first three outings and a win over Valletta would ensure they take sole leadership after Mosta were held in a draw by Naxxar and Birkirkara lost to Balzan.
Valletta collected just one point from the first two matches after a defeat to Mosta and a win over Tarxien but they bounced back with a win over Floriana in their last outing. Against Hibernians, they target another win which would enable them to close in on the top four.
The Citizens could have Brazilians Paulo Cândido Serafim da Cruz ‘Lico’ and Alex Barboza de Azevedo Terra making their debut. Jonathan Caruana is however ruled out injured. Malta international defender Andrei Agius is set to make his first appearance for the Paolites.
Meanwhile in the first match, Zebbug Rangers face Tarxien Rainbows.
The Rangers suffered three defeats in their first three outings and hope that against Tarxien, they manage to collect their first points of the season. Tarxien, on the other hand, claimed three points in three draws with Sliema, Valletta and Pietà.
Serbian striker Bojan Mamic is expected to make his debut for Zebbug.
