Malta international defender Joseph Zerafa joined Grays Athletic in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Zerafa made his Premier League debut with Birkirkara in season 2005/06, winning three Premier League titles over the past nine years but was released by the club last month following a request by the player as he seeked a move abroad.

Grays Athletic are currently seventh in the Isthmian League Premier Division which is three levels below League Two and could therefore be considered as the seventh division in English football.
