Gudja United are the only team with maximum points after three matches as they defeated Gzira United 3-1 in one of the four matches from the BOV First Division on Sunday.
Ryan Dalli put Gzira ahead on the 17th but Angelo Catania equalised on the 64th. An own goal by Josef Mifsud on the 89th made it 2-1 for Gudja who increased the lead through Adrian Carabott on the 90th.
Fgura United came from behind to beat Msida St. Joseph 2-1. Yuri de Jesus Messias converted a penalty on the 9th minute to put Msida ahead. Abeeb Abiodun Williams levelled matters on 65 minutes and Philip Chircop made it 2-1 four minutes from time.
St. Andrews registered their first win as they beat Pembroke Athleta 2-1 in the derby. Ariel Laudisi put Pembroke ahead just before half-time but after the break, Michael Johnson levelled matters on the 72nd and Joseph Farrugia notched teh winner five minutes from time.
Mqabba beat Zurrieq 2-0 in another derby courtesy of Douglas da Silva Silveira on the 47th and Guilherme Guedes Soares de Freitas on the 77th.
Gudja lead the way with 9 points, followed by Vittoriosa, St. George’s, Msida, Mqabba and Melita on 6, Fgura on 5, Gzira and St. Andrews 4, Lija and Zurrieq 3, Pembroke and Rabat 1 and Birzebbuga 0.
