Hibernians hope to extend positive run

Leaders Hibernians will be aiming for a tenth win on Sunday as they host Balzan in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

The Paolites registered a most comfortable 5-0 win over Mosta last week. Balzan, on the other hand, suffered a 0-2 defeat to Valletta after obtaining four consecutive positive results.

Elkin Serrano returns for Balzan after missing the game against Valletta but Osa Ice-Cream Guobadia and Justin Grioli are ruled out through suspension. Hibernians, on the other hand, should be in full strength.

Birkirkara hope to keep the pace with the leaders with a win over Floriana after they returned to winning ways, defeating Sliema Wanderers 1-0 on Monday. Floriana are currently fourth from bottom but lost just one of the last seven matches. They are coming from a 1-1 draw with Tarxien last week.

The Greens welcome back Matteo Piciollo after serving a one-match ban but Brooke Farrugia is ruled out through suspension. Birkirkara could not count on the suspended Rafael Ledesma.
