Balzan FC announced its continued close co-operation with the Milan Soccer Academy of Sydney will continue as they will be hosting top Milan coach and former Serie A star Andrea Icardi early this month.
Andrea, who currently heads up the AC Milan Academy in Australia will be addressing the coaches of the Balzan FC Academy as well as running training sessions with the Academy’s younger boys. These sessions are planned to integrate with the structured approach of ‘Long Term Player Development’ (LTPD) that the Balzan FC Academy has adopted and implemented over recent months.
Balzan FC’s Honorary President Anton Tagliaferro said “I am very pleased to see the close co-operation between Balzan and Milan Academy continuing – Andrea is a fantastic youth coach and has his methodology has produced many professional players. Balzan’s Academy has made great progress this season thanks to the hard work and professional programmes implemented by our Academy President Timmy Gambin and our Academy Technical Director Ludvic Bartolo and coaches there. The professional work being done by all at the Balzan FC Academy is very encouraging with all our young players making significant progress this season. I am sure our Academy will produce great players in the years ahead.”
