After securing the services of Ghanian defender Albert Bruce and Brazilian striker Jorge Santos Silva, Naxxar Lions announced that they have released three of their foreigners, namely David Alejandro Reano, Uchenna Emenike Mbachu and Pape Gueye.
Reano had joined Naxxar in the January transfer market last season and was a regular choice under Winston Muscat and also under Jesmond Zerafa so far. Uchenna Emenike Mbachu had joined Naxxar this summer, scoring four goals in seventeen matches. Pape Gueye joined the club after playing for Sliema Wanderers and Gzira United last season. With Naxxar, he scored three goals in sixteen matches.
The other foreigners on the books of the club are Emmanuel Ibok Edet, Edafe Uzeh, Pablo Doffo and Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro. The club had earlier released Sidney da Silva.
Jorge Santos is expected to make his debut in next Sunday’s clash with Hibernians.
