Hibernians won Section B of the Women’s Under-16 League after finishing top of the table with 25 points after defeating Raiders (Luxol) 5-3 in a decisive game at the Gharghur Ground on Sunday.
After the game, Hibs captain Rodiana Borg was presented with the trophy by MFA Deputy General Secretary (Youth Development & Education) Maria Mifsud.
Birkirkara finished third on ten points, followed by Pembroke Athleta on 7 and Hamrun Spartans 4.
Section A comes to an end on Sunday with the last two matches from Section A as leaders Mgarr United take on second-placed Kirkop United and Gozo face Mosta. A draw would be enough for Mgarr to win the title as they lie two points ahead of Kirkop. Therefore the latter need a win to secure the championship.
