Zebbug Rangers cross swords with Mosta and Pietà Hotspurs take on Valletta as the three teams seek precious points in the battle against relegation in the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.
Two points separate Mosta and Zebbug Rangers with the Blues lying in joint-seventh place on 14 points, two ahead of Zebbug who lie second from bottom together with Qormi and Pietà.
Mosta lost four of the last six matches and have gone seven matches without a win. Zebbug, on the other hand, lost three out of the last four matches, defeating Valletta in the other game.
Gary Roberts and Dyson Falzon are ruled out through suspension for Mosta. Zebbug, on the other hand, are expected to be in full strength.
Mosta defeated Zebbug 2-0 in the first round with the second round clash ending in a 1-1 draw.
In the second match, Pietà hope to get a positive result from the clash with Valletta after a good performance despite a defeat to Hibernians last week. However the Citizens cannot afford any result other than a win as they aim to keep the pressure on second-placed Birkirkara. They are coming from a 4-0 win over Tarxien last week.
Both sides are expected to be in full strength with Steve Borg returning for Valletta after serving a one-match ban.
In the first round, Pietà defeated Valletta 2-1 but the Citizens registered a 3-0 win in the second round.
