Six Premier League players were banned by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after the weekend’s matches.
Steve Pisani (Floriana) was banned for two matches while Matthew Calleja Cremona and Vito Plut (Floriana), Christian Grech (Pietà), Alex Cini (Tarxien) and Djumo Bocar (Sliema) were suspended for one match.
Mosta team manager Adrian Farrugia was banned for six months, until September 21.
The Floriana players are ruled out of the game against Naxxar; Pisani will also miss the clash with Mosta; Grech will miss the game against Zebbug, Cini the game against Qormi and Bocar the clash with Mosta
In Division 1, Josef Dalli, John Roland Emeka and Jonathan Bugeja (Fgura), Cleavon Frendo (Lija), George Gribbon (Melita), Etienne Scicluna (Rabat), Michael Camilleri and Francisco Arriagada Mella (Vittoriosa) and Emanuel Sevasta (Zurrieq) was banned for one match. St. George’s official Darren Mario Scicluna was suspended for one match.
In Division 2, Reuben Vella (Gharghur), Jesmar Briffa (San Gwann) and Kristian Sultana (Swieqi) were suspended for one match. Senglea assistant coach Vince Camilleri was banned for two matches.
In Division 3, Clayton Borg (Mgarr) and Darren Farrugia (Sta. Venera) were banned for two matches while Michael Theuma (Kirkop), Luca Nagiah (Marsaskala), Thomas Grech (Marsaxlokk), Daniel Cluett (Mdina), Joseph Paul Zammit (Mgarr), Martin Portelli and Joseph Mercieca (Qrendi) were all suspended for one match. Santa Lucia kit-manager Alfred Urry and Sta. Venera Lightnings official Rennie Briffa were banned for one match and two matches respectively.
