Rowen Muscat, Justin Haber sign new Birkirkara deals

Malta international players Rowen Muscat and Justin Haber will be staying with Birkirkara after signing new deals with the club on Tuesday.

A product of Birkirkara, Rowen Muscat made his Premier League debut in season 2009/10, winning two championships with the Stripes in season 2009/10. Last summer, he moved to Dunaujvaros PASE in Hungary but returned with Birkirkara in January.

Justin Haber signed a three-year deal with Birkirkara.

A product of Floriana, Justin Haber made his Premier League debut in season 1998/99, spending a short loan spell with Bulgarian side Dobrudzha Dobrich. In summer 2002, he moved to Birkirkara where he spent three years before joining US Quevilly in France in summer 2005. The following season, he moved to Royal Excelsior Virton in Belgium but mid-way through the season, he returned to Malta to join Marsaxlokk.

In summer 2007, Haber joined AO Haidari in Greece but the following season, he moved to England to join Sheffield United. With the Blades, the Malta international goalkeeper failed to play any matches for the senior team. After failing to break into the first team, in August 2009, Haber was allowed to join their sister club Ferencváros on loan until the end of the year. Five months later, he signed an 18 month contract with the Hungarian side, moving to Kerkyra in Greece in summer 2011. Haber returned to Malta to join Mosta in summer 2012 but in January 2013, he moved the Birkirkara.
