BOV Premier League, First, Second and Third Division, Women’s League for 2015/16 released

The fixtures for the BOV Premier League, BOV First Division, BOV Second Division, BOV Third Division, BOV Women’s First Division and BOV Women’s Second Division were released by the Malta Football Association on Friday.

The BOV Premier League will kick-off on Friday 21st August with the matches Birkirkara vs Naxxar Lions and Sliema Wanderers vs Tarxien Rainbows at the Hibernians Stadium and Qormi vs Pembroke Athleta and St. Andrews vs Valletta at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. On Sunday 22nd, Floriana take on Mosta and Balzan face champions Hibernians at the National Stadium.

The BOV Premier League first phase comes to an end on the 14th February and the second phase kicks-off on the 20th February. The last league match is scheduled for Saturday 30th April.

The BOV First Division League will be kick-off on September 11 with Senglea Athletic vs Mqabba and comes to an end on April 24. First Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium and Victor Tedesco Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays, two on Saturdays and four on Sundays or four on a Saturday and two on a Sunday.

Two teams will be promoted to the Premier League, the team placing third will be playing a promotion decider against the team placing tenth in the Premier League while three teams will be relegated to Division 2.

The BOV Second Division League will kick-off on September 18 with the clash between Kirkop United vs Qrendi at the Luxol Stadium and come to an end on April 25. Second Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays and the other six on Saturdays or Sundays.

Three teams will be promoted to Division 1 and three relegated to Division 3.

The BOV Third Division League will kick-off on September 19 and come to an end on April 24. Third Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. The six matches will be played on Saturdays or Sundays.

Three teams will be promoted to Division 2 and the bottom two need to re-apply to take part the following season.

The BOV Women’s First Division will kick-off on the 29th September while the BOV Women’s Second Division starts off on the 23rd September. The last games from the Women’s League are scheduled for April 19.

The fifth team in the Women’s First Division will be playing a play-off against the runner-up of the Second Division.
