Malta international midfielder Rachel Cuschieri scored two as hosts Apollon Ladies FC defeated Hibernians 8-0 in a match from Group 3 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League Qualifying Round at the Paphiakos Stadium in Paphos.
The hosts had already made sure of the three points with three goals in the first fifteen minutes. Loucretia Chrysostomou put Apollon ahead on the 5th minute and Tiffany Cameron doubled the score five minutes later. Kyriaki Kynossidou made it 3-0 on the 15th.
Substitute Antri Violari increased the score on 66 minutes before Rachel Cuschieri added another two goals on the 79th and 82nd. Four minutes from time, Florentia Antoniou made it 7-0 with Tiffany Cameron scoring the eighth goal on the 90th.
On Sunday, Hibs face KI of the Faroe Islands who lost 2-0 to Apollon and 4-0 to Stjarnan.
