First Division side Gzira United presented their new signings during a press conference which was held on Friday.
In their bid to secure promotion to the Premier League, Gzira strenghtened their squad with several new players, most of whom already have Premier League experience. They secured the services of Sacha Borg and Brooke Farrugia from Floriana, Jonathan Bondin from Qormi, Beppe Muscat, Luca Martinelli and Clive Psaila from Sliema Wanderers, Alan Abela from Zejtun Corinthians and Christian Caruana from Valletta. They signed two strikers from Cameroon – Louis Rene Zome and former Pietà and Valletta forward Raphael Alain Kooh-Sohna.
The Maroons also welcomed back Kyle Gerada and Simon Shead who were on loan with Mosta and Hamrun Spartans respectively.
Coach Darren Abdilla has been confirmed after joining the club mid-way through last season.
Gzira missed out on promotion last season after finishing third in the BOV First Division and losing 0-2 to Mosta in the play-off.
