During a meeting of the Qormi FC committee, former mayor Jesmond Aquilina was unanimously appointed Qormi FC president.

Qormi have been without a president since the end of July when Redino Apap had stepped down, citing lack of interest and backing from supporters as the main reason for his resignation.

Qormi collected their first three points on Saturday as they beat St. Andrews 3-0 after losing the first three matches.
