National coach Pietro Ghedin named a provisional 22-man squad for the friendly match against Jordan which will be played at the Maltepe Stadium in Istanbul on Wednesday 11th November, kick-off at 13:00 CET.
The squad includes two new faces – Floriana’s Emanuel Briffa and Tarxien’s Luke Montebello.
This friendly match should be the first of a series of friendly matches before next year’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers which kick-off in September 2016. Malta is expected to play another four friendly matches in 2016 – one in March, two in May and another one in August, possible all away from home.
