Birkirkara continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of another two foreign players – Austrian central defender Christian Bubalović and Croatian midfielder Goran Mujanović. Both signed a one-and-a-half year deal.
Twenty-four year old Bubalović started his career at Admira Wacker before moving to Energie Cottbus in Germany where he played in their second team in the Regionalliga. In 2012, he signed for NK Rudar Velenje but left the club in to join Kapfenberger SV in Austria in summer 2014.
Thirty-two year old Mujanović started his career at NK Varaždin in Croatia and had a spell on loan at NK Pomorac Kostrena also in Croatia. In summer 2005, he moved to Lierse SK in Belgium but returned to NK Varaždin in January 2007. In January 2010, he was transferred to Slaven Belupo but in summer 2012, moved to HNK Rijeka. In summer 2014, he joined Al-Nasr in Kuwait.
The Stripes had earlier signed Matthew Guillaumier from St. Andrews, Chilean midfielder Edison David Bilbao Zarate from Balzan, Croatian defensive midfielder Mislav Andelkovic and Croatian goalkeeper Miroslav Kopric.
Birkirkara have so far released Fabrizio Miccoli, Liliu and Shola Shodiya and transferred Zach Muscat to Akragas in Italy and Paul Fenech to Balzan.
