Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Justin Grioli (Balzan), Clyde Borg and Nicolas Chiesa (Floriana), Diosdado Mbele Mba Mangue (Hibs), Edile Micheletti Awoh (Mosta), Ousmane Sidibe and Ryan Micallef (Qormi), Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos, Carlos Hevia Menendez and Bruno Giglio de Oliveira (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of their teams’ next game.

Grioli, Sidibe and Micallef are ruled out of the clash between Qormi and Balzan on Wednesday.

Tarxien will be without Pedrinho, Carlinos and Bruno for the clash against Mosta who will lack Micheletti, Clyde Borg and Nicolas Chiesa will miss the next league game against Birkirkara while Diosdado Mbele is ruled out of the game against St. Andrews.

In Division 1, Miljan Milvojev (Vittoriosa) was banned for three matches while Andre White (Gzira), Christian Caruana (Hamrun), Nikky Vella Petroni (Melita), Karl Micallef (Pietà) and Jurgen Farrugia (Senglea) were suspended for one match.

Dylan Rapinett (Kirkop), Ryan Mifsud (Marsa), Joseph Paul Zammit (Mgarr), Antonio Privitera (Msida), Giovanni Galea (Sirens) and Mauro Brincat (Zejtun) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2 while Andrew Formosa (Msida) was suspended for two matches.

Justin Zammit (Marsaskala) was banned for three matches in Division 3 while Malcolm Attard and Jurgen Gauci (Attard), Cachel Vella (Mdina) and Matthew Borg (Santa Lucia) were suspended for one match.
