The Malta women’s Under-16 national team defeated Liechtenstein 3-1 in the first game from the UEFA Youth Development Tournament which kicked-off at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Maia Debono put Malta ahead during the first half and a brace by substitute Demi Magrin gave the Reds a comfortable lead before Sophia Hurumann pulled one back for Liechtenstein.
Malta plays the second game on Sunday against Azerbaijan at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 13:15 while on Tuesday, Malta faces Austria at the Luxol Stadium, kick-off at 13:15.
