Gharghur joined Sirens on top the BOV Second Division table after they only managed to earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Qrendi at the Sirens Stadium.
Luca Casha converted a penalty on the 6th minute. Mauro Busuttil levelled matters on the 71st and eight minutes later, Nicky Zammit made it 2-1. However another penalty by Luca Casha in added time levelled matters for Qrendi.
Yessous Camilleri gave Marsa a narrow win over Mgarr United at the Sirens Stadium. Camilleri scored the all-important goal on the 12th minute to put Marsa just one point behind the two joint-leaders.
Zabbar St. Patrick came back from two goals down to hold Birzebbuga St. Peter’s in a 2-2 draw. Ronnie Celeste converted a penalty on the 32nd minute to put Birzebbuga ahead and five minutes in the second half, the same player doubled the score. However Dylan Micallef pulled one back for Zabbar with Julio Cesar Souza Martins da Silva converted a penalty on the 93rd minute to equalise.
Mellieha collected three precious points in a 3-2 win over Zejtun Corinthians at the Luxol Stadium. Kyle Simiana put Mellieha ahead and Lydon Micallef doubled the score on the 23rd. Two minutes later, Gianni Kimkwidi made it 3-0. Mauro Brincat reduced the gap just before half-time and then added another goal for Zejtun on the hour.
A goal by Kenneth Ekezie on the 14th minute gave Swieqi United a narrow win over Zurrieq at the Luxol Stadium.
Siggiewi defeated bottom-placed Msida St. Joseph 4-1 at the Charles Abela Stadium. Charles Nnaekeka put Siggiewi ahead on the 24th but Msida equalised through Mario Caruana on the 32nd. Eman Ciappara restored the lead for Siggiewi on the 66th and an own goal two minutes later put them 3-1 ahead before Samuel Vella scored a fourth goal on the 77th.
Gharghur and Sirens lead the way with 34 points, followed by Marsa on 33, Zabbar 28, Siggiewi 25, Birzebbuga and Zejtun 23, Qrendi 21, Mellieha and Swieqi 19, Mgarr and Kirkop 15, Zurrieq 6 and Msida 5.
