Senglea Athletic returned to winning ways in the BOV First Division as they defeated Zebbug Rangers 2-1 in one of two matches at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Ryan Dalli put Senglea ahead on the 16th minute and although Aaron Agius levelled matters for Zebbug on the 39th, six minutes from time, Ryan Dalli scored again for Senglea to hand them the three points.

In another match, Fgura United and Lija Athletic shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

Gzira lead the way with 40 points, followed by Hamrun on 39, Pietà and Senglea 31, Lija 24, Fgura 23, Zebbug 22, Vittoriosa and Rabat 20, Mqabba and Melita 19, San Gwann 14, St. George’s 11 and Gudja 8.
