Twelve Premier League players suspended

Two players was banned for two matches and another eleven were suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Pietro Viggiani of Qormi and Njongo Priso of Sliema were banned for two matches while Pedro dos Santos Calcado and Samir Arab (Balzan), Ryan Camenzuli (Birkirkara), Jackson di Lima Siqueira (Hibs), Jonas Rodriguez Ekani (Mosta), Paltemio Barbetti (Pembroke), Johann Bezzina (Sliema), Michael Johnson (St. Andrews) and Federico Falcone (Valletta) were suspended for one match.

Viggiani will be missing the games against Valletta and Pembroke while Priso will be missing the games against Floriana and Hibernians. Ekani, Pedrinho and Samir Arab are ruled out of the match between Mosta and Balzan, Jackson Lima and Michael Johnson the game between St. Andrews and Hibs, Barbetti and Camenzuli will miss the match between Pembroke and Birkirkara, Falcone the game against Qormi, Bezzina the Old Firm derby against Floriana.

In Division 1, Predrag Babic (Lija) was banned for two matches while Isaac Galea (Mqabba), Dylan Agius (Pietà) and David Azzopardi (Rabat) were suspended for one match. Gzira official Don Spagnol was banned for one match.

Cleaven Frendo (Marsa), Isaac Chircop (Gharghur), Dylan Zarb (Qrendi), Julian Briffa, Tonio D’Amato and Dylan Darmanin (Zurrieq) were banned for one match in Division 2 while Andrew Formosa (Msida) was banned for two matches, Glen Tabone (Zejtun) was suspended for three matches and Borislav Dragiev (Kirkop) for four matches. Kirkop assistant coach Joseph Galea was suspended for two matches.

In Division 3, Fabio Muscat and Justin Muscat (Luqa), Joseph Munyao Mwema (Mtarfa), Clayton Micallef, Glen Attard, Jonathan Cachia and Elton Caruana (Xghajra) were banned for one match ban Santa Lucia kit-manager John Urry was suspended for one match.
