Narrow win for Wanderers

Sliema Wanderers continued where they had left last week thanks to a narrow win over Mosta in a mid-table clash at the Hibernians Stadium.

This defeat leaves Mosta eight points clear of tenth-placed Naxxar Lions and therefore still need two points from the last three matches to make sure of retaining their Premier League status.

The Wanderers scored the all-important goal on the 59th minute when off a cross by Gary Muir, in came Jean Paul Farrugia who beat Omar Borg from close-range.
