Three Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Mosta’s Benjamin Chinedu Oweregbulam and Valletta’s Claudio Pani were both banned for two matches while Antonio Orlando de Queiroz Machedo Neto ‘Tony’ was banned for one match.
Owergbulam misses Mosta’s next two games against Hibernians and Gzira. Valletta could not count on Pani for the games against Pembroke and Balzan while Tony is ruled out of the game against Sliema.
Meanwhile Hamrun Spartans assistant coach Jonathan Holland was suspended for one match and Valletta team manager Gerald Ellul was banned for four matches.
