Eight Premier League players suspended

Eight Premier League players were banned by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Floriana striker Mario Fontanella was banned for two matches while Bruno Giglio de Oliveira (Balzan), Chinatu Francis Onwudinjo (Mosta), Paltemio Barbetti and Zoran Levnaic (Pembroke), Dale Camilleri (St. Andrews), Claudio Pani and Federico Falcone (Valletta) were suspended for one match.

Fontanella is ruled out of the games against St. Andrews and Balzan. Dale Camilleri also misses the clash Floriana vs St. Andrews. Bruno Oliveira, Barbetti and Levnaic miss the game between Balzan and Pembroke while Onwudinjo, Pani and Falcone are ruled out of Valletta vs Mosta.

St. Andrews coach Danilo Doncic was banned for two matches while Mosta kit manager Robert Frendo was handed a one-match ban.

In Division 1, Ryan Previ (Vittoriosa) was suspended for one match. George Portelli (Ghaxaq), Rodney Grixti (Gudja), Tristan Nappa Licari (Mellieha), Josuel Spiteri (Qrendi), Omar Coleiro and Matthew Borg (St. George’s), Glendon Refalo (Swieqi) were banned for one match in Division 2. San Gwann coach Stefano Grima was also banned for one match.

Glanville Goodlip (Msida) was banned for two matches in Division 3 while Melchior Grech (Kirkop) and Daniel Attard (Msida) were suspended for one match.
