Another eight Premier League players suspended

Eight Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Alan da Silva Souza of Balzan was banned for two matches while Dylan Grima (Balzan), Nikola Vukanac (Birkirkara), Ignacio Lucas Varela (Floriana), Antonio Orlando de Queiroz Machedo Neto (Gzira), Chinatu Francis Onwudinjo  and Dany Djoufack (Mosta) and Mark Scerri (Sliema).

Alan da Silva is banned for Balzan’s next two games against Valletta and Hibernians. Grima will also miss the clash with Valletta. Vukanac and Scerri are ruled out of Birkirkara vs Sliema, Varela misses the game against Tarxien while Tony, Onwudinjo and Djoufack are ruled out of the clash between Gzira and Mosta.

Floriana kit-manager Clayton Galea was banned for one match.

In Division 1, Toraino Singleton (Melita), Angus Buhagiar (Naxxar), Jamie Pace McDonald (Senglea), James Mercieca (Vittoriosa) and Shawn Borg (Zebbug) were banned for one match.

Rene Duca (Birzebbuga), George Portelli (Ghaxaq), Thomas Francis Grech (Marsaxlokk), Luke Pace (St. George’s), Mauro Brincat and Clayton Giordimaina (Zejtun) were banned for one match in Division 2 while Kenneth Ekezie (Swieqi) was suspended for three matches.

In Division 3, Francis Mansueto (Sta. Venera) was suspended for five matches, Elton Caruana (Xghajra) for two matches while Benjamin Ayuba (Kalkara) and Martin Portelli (Xghajra) were suspended for one match.
