Andrew Cohen joins Gzira United — Gilmar moves to Hibernians on loan

Former Malta international attacking midfielder Andrew Cohen joined Gzira United.

A product of Hibernians, Cohen made his Premier League debut in season 1999/2000. With the Paolites, he won three Premier League championships, four FA Trophies, two Super Cups and the BOV Footballer of the Year award three times.

Cohen made his national team debut in August 2004 in a friendly match against the Faroe Islands and played 65 matches and scored one.

Meanwhile Hibernians secured the services of Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro on loan from Naxxar Lions.

Gilmar had an impressive season with Hibernians last season but in summer, he moved to Saudi Arabia where he played for Al Raed. He had moved to Malta in summer 2013, spending two years with Naxxar Lions.
