January transfer window closes on Tuesday

The January transfer window closed on Tuesday.

Mosta were the most active side on the final day as they secured the services of six players, namely Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza from Hamrun Spartans, Tyrone Farrugia and Jonas Rodrigues Ekani who return with the club after a spell with Sirens and Mexican-American striker César Romer and French striker Josué Ahouré,

Hamrun Spartans signed Congo U-21 goalkeeper Batusila Kambala, Nigerian defender Christian Emeka Anigbobu and French striker Mathieu Manset. Apart from Mifsud Triganza, Fredrick Tabone also moved elsewhere as he joined Pembroke Athleta on loan.

Pembroke also signed Nigerian striker Joseph Okonkwo while Sliema Wanderers signed Italian defender Marco Botta. Balzan secured the services of Serbian defender Veljko Stanic while Birkirkara signed Colombian forward Jhon Adolfo Obregon Quinones.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Jamie Pace moved from Senglea Athletic to Vittoriosa Stars while Beppe Muscat of Sliema joined Senglea Athletic.

Gustavo Amadio of Floriana moved to Kercem Ajax in Gozo while Claudio Frances of Tarxien joined Xewkija Tigers.
