Luqa SA festival to raise funds for Alive 2017

Luqa St. Andrew’s FC will be organizing an U7-U8-U9 Football Festival on Sunday 26th March 2017 to help raise funds for the Alive 2017 initiative. The funds from the Alive 2017 will go towards the research on cancer affecting children.

This festival will see the participation of kids born in 2008 and 2009 coming from Melita FC, Naxxar Lions FC, Swieqi United FC and Zebbug Rangers FC nurseries who accepted the Luqa St. Andrew’s FC invite for this tournament.

This festival will be held between 8.00am and 12.30pm at the Luqa St. Andrew’s FC Ground within the St. Vincent de Paule Residence. Donations from the general public will be accepted during the tournament while a bar serving snacks and drinks and a Car Wash service will be set up. All the proceeds from this activity will go to the same charity.

All the players within the Luqa St. Andrew’s FC, from the senior team down to all the categories within the nursery will be donating for this just cause. This donation will be presented to cyclists Daniel Portelli and Joseph Grima who will be two cyclists out of 60 cyclists taking part in the Alive 2017 activity. This year’s route will see the cyclists covering 1000 kilometers in seven days between the 7th and 14th July. The route will take the cyclists from Copenhagen, Denmark through Berlin, Germany and ending in Warsaw Poland.

The general public is encouraged to donate during this festival for this noble cause.
