Bjorn Kristensen wins MFA Footballer of the Year award

Hibernians midfielder Bjorn Kristensen won the MFA Footballer of the Year award at the 2017 MFA Awards which held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on Sunday.

The other finalists were Andrei Agius (Hibs), Paul Fenech (Balzan), Gareth Sciberras (Birkirkara) and Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara).

Champions Hibernians claimed another two awards as Mark Miller was voted Coach of the Year and Jurgen Degabriele Young Player of the Year.

The BOV Premier League top scorer – Balzan’s Bojan Kaljevic – was voted Foreign Player of the Year.

Ryan Scicluna’s first-round goal in the clash with Gzira United was voted Best Goal.
