Seven Premier League players suspended

Seven Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Pedro Henrique Cortes Oliveira Gois of Hamrun Spartans was banned for four matches, Steve Pisani of Floriana was handed a three-match ban while Bojan Kaljevic and Paul Fenech (Balzan), Marcelo Dias and Rui Fernando da Gracia Gomes (Hibernians) and Elhadji Oussenyou Ndaye (Naxxar) were suspended for one match.

Pedro Henrique is ruled out of Hamrun’s next four games against Floriana, Mosta, Gzira and Senglea while Pisani will skip Floriana’s next three games against Hamrun, Gzira and Balzan.

Fenech and Kaljevic will miss this weekend’s clash against Valletta. Marcelo Dias and Rui da Gracia are ruled out for Hibs in the game against Mosta while Naxxar could not count on Ndaye for the game against Birkirkara.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Kurt Pace (Melita), Mead Mifsud (Pembroke) and Manuel Bartolo (San Gwann) were banned for one match. Matthew Borg (Siggiewi) was suspended for one match in Division 2 while in Division 3, Martin Busuttil (Ghaxaq) was handed a three-match ban and Asin Scerri (Mtarfa) was suspended for one match.
