Fgura United turned defeat into victory as they defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 3-1 at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.
Lydon Sciberras put Luqa ahead on the 5th minute but one minute in the second half, Gilbert Martin equalised. Cleavon Frendo converted a penalty to put Fgura ahead on the 57th and Ryan Sell made it 3-1 on the 74th.
In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Marsaxlokk and Gudja United shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
In another match at the Luxol Stadium, Birzebbuga St. Peter’s and Siggiewi shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Ronnie Celeste put Birzebbuga ahead after just two minutes but Jake Vella equalised on the 33rd.
Kalkara registered a 4-1 win over Attard at the Luxol Stadium. Timothy Thomas put Kalkara ahead on the 6th minute and although Attard equalised through Kurt Zahra on the 24th, Andrea Hammett restored the lead for Kalkara on the 62nd with Dylan Xuereb scoring twice on the 90th and 94th to seal the issue.
Swieqi lead the way with 6 points, followed by Fgura, Birzebbuga and Siggiewi on 5, Kalkara 4, St. George’s, Sana Lucia and Luqa 3, Gudja and Marsaxlokk 2, Gharghur, Attard and Mgarr 1.
