Hibernians hit seven past Lija

After suffering back-to-back defeats to Sliema and Valletta, Hibernians returned to winning ways as they registered a most comfortable 7-0 win over Lija Athletic at the National Stadium on Sunday. A win which condemned Lija Athletic to playing in Division 1 next season.

The Paolites dominated from start to finish, taking the lead on the 2nd minute thanks to Jurgen Degabriele.  Arlindo Oliveira Neto doubled the score on the 15th minute and Jurgen Degabriele made it 3-0 on the 31st minute.

Fourteen minutes in the second half, Rui da Gracia Gomes increased the lead further and on the 68th minute, Jurgen Degabriele made it 5-0. Two minutes later, Degabriele scored his fourth. Arlindo Oliveira Neto scored the seventh goal on the 73rd minute.
