Three-match ban for Andrew Cohen

Four Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Andrew Cohen (Gzira) was banned for three matches while Carlos Henneberg (Hamrun), Ferdinando Salvati (Senglea) and Joseph Zerafa (Valletta) were suspended for one match.

Cohen is therefore ruled out of the next three matches against Balzan, Pietà and Valletta. Henneberg skips Hamrun’s next clash against Birkirkara. Salvati will miss the next league game against St. Andrews while Zerafa is ruled out of the clash with Mosta.

In Division 1, Erjon Beau (Lija), David Azzopardi (Mqabba) and Maxim Focsa (Pembroke) were suspended for one match while Lija team manager Colin Ciantar was banned for four matches.

Alan Tabone (Marsaxlokk) was banned for one match in Division 2.

In Division 3, Gharghur’s Shaun Bonello was suspended for four matches, Nikola Tasic for three while goalkeepers coach Franco Scicluna was banned for six matches.
