Balzan strengthened their squad with the signing of central defender
Aleksandar Kosorić.
The thirty-one year old started his career with FK Slavija Sarajevo, joining FK Partizan Belgrade in January 2009. However after one year, he moved to FK Rad after hardly getting any playing time with the Serbian giants. Kosorić spent two years at Rad and then went on to play for FK Radnički 1923 for one year before moving to Iraq to join Erbil SC. He returned to Serbia, joining FK Radnički Niš but after six months, moved to Bosnia-Herzegovina, joining FK Željezničar Sarajevo. He spent two-and-a-half years at the club, during which period he was appointed as captain. In the mean time, he received a national team call up and made his debut in the final of the 2016 Kirin Cup against Japan. In February 2017, he joined Radnik Bijeljina but the following summer moved to Latvia, joining Spartaks Jūrmala.
Aleksandar Kosorić is the first signing for Balzan in the January transfer window after losing Harry Ascroft and Alex da Paixao Alves.
